Unfortunately, you will have to deal with tolls on the highways in Turkey. These are many, but the good news: the tolls are pretty low!
These amounts must be paid using an electronic card or sticker. You can get them from post offices (PTT). It is also possible to obtain them at a rest area or at a gas station.

It will probably be confusing, but in Turkey you have to drive in the left lane . Most of the roads have been re-paved and are very pleasant to drive. However, roads are damaged from time to time in agricultural areas. Also, it's not uncommon to come across animals or farm implements, so be careful!
