Not sure how to choose the right type of upholstery fabric for your motorhome? There are several important factors to consider to ensure that all your hard work is not wasted.
1. How often do you use your caravan seats?
Heavy use requires a more durable and heavy upholstery fabric.
2. The age of your children.
If you have young children in the trailer, you may want to consider easy-to-wipe fabrics. A good example would be leather.
3. The place you love to travel by caravan.
Do you like to be by the sea and bring a lot of sand to your camper seats? You'll need to easily scrub or vacuum the seats without doing too much damage. In our experience, leather is not an excellent choice when in contact with sand, as it is very abrasive.
4. The climate of the time you usually travel.
A good quality cotton/canvas/linen fabric is a better choice.
5. How to clean upholstery fabric.
Do you need to be able to wipe up spills or is a good vacuum sufficient? The decision is yours.
6. Color .
Light or dark, Bright or Neutral, consider the theme you choose.
7. Fabric cost.
It all depends on what fabric you decide to use and how many linear meters you need.
Upholstery fabric selection can be daunting, but when you consider all 7 factors, you can start shopping!
